Burnley vs West Bromwich – 20/01/2023

Burnley and West Brom set for a stalemate at Turf Moor

1023

On Friday night, Championship leaders Burnley host in-form West Brom at Turf Moor in what promises to be one of the games of the weekend in the English second tier.

Vincent Kompany’s team continued their excellent season last time out by recording a 1-0 win over Coventry City. The victory means that the Clarets have won their previous seven league games.

In fact, a record of 11 wins in their last 12 league matches has put the home side in a promising position to win promotion to the top flight.

The team from Lancashire is now 16 points clear of third-place Watford in the race for automatic promotion.

Burnley are unbeaten at home in the Championship this season, having also recorded eight straight league victories at Turf Moor.

The key to those stellar results on home soil has been their potent attack, as the Clarets have scored at least two goals in five of their last six league games at home.

The Baggies are resurgent after a woeful start to their Championship campaign. Carlos Corberan’s team continued their recent good form last time out by recording a 4-0 win over Chesterfield in an FA Cup third-round replay.

The win means that the Baggies are unbeaten in six games in all competitions, having recorded five victories in the process.

The visitors have also been a big attacking threat of late in the English second tier, as they have scored at least two goals in three of their last four league games.

At the other end of the pitch, the Baggies have also kept three clean sheets in their previous four Championship games.

What does Forebet predict?

Both teams head into this game in strong form. Therefore, it is unsurprising that Forebet predicts that this game will produce a low-scoring draw.
