Brighton vs Tottenham – 08/10/2022

Brighton and Tottenham set for a fascinating encounter on the south coast

1101

In Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off, Brighton and Southampton go head-to-head at the AMEX Stadium in what could be a fascinating encounter.

Brighton

The Seagulls new head coach Roberto Di Zerbi enjoyed an exciting debut, as his team drew 3-3 with Liverpool at Anfield, despite being two goals up at one point of the game.

The draw on Merseyside means that the team from the south coast has lost just one of their last 12 games in the Premier League. The solid run of form has led to Brighton’s fourth-place position in the table.

Brighton has certainly been potent in front of goal of late, as they have now scored at least two goals in five of their previous eight matches in the Premier League.

The Seagulls have been tough to beat on home soil, as they are unbeaten in seven home games in the Premier League, having won four of their last five league games at the AMEX Stadium.

Tottenham

The team from North London suffered a 3-1 derby defeat at arch-rivals Arsenal last time out. The loss ended Spurs’ unbeaten start to their league campaign. However, a record of four wins in their previous six matches in the English top-flight is still a solid one.

The defeat at the Emirates Stadium at least continued a run of high-scoring games for Antonio Conte’s team, as there have been over 2.5 goals scored in seven of their previous nine league matches.

Although the derby defeat ended a six-game unbeaten run on their travels in the Premier League, Spurs have only won two of their previous seven away matches in the English top-flight.

What does Forebet predict?

These are two teams in decent form, managed by highly-rated coaches. Forebet predicts that this game will produce a high-scoring draw.
