Brighton is keeping tabs on Ghanaian midfield sensation Caleb Yirenkyi, 19, who plays for FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark.
The talented youngster has been impressing with close to 40 senior appearances and eight caps for Ghana’s national team since joining Nordsjaelland from Right to Dream Academy in March 2024.
Yirenkyi’s contract runs until 2030, but Brighton’s interest has sparked a queue of admirers, with his market value estimated at €5.8m.
Other top European clubs, including Arsenal and Bournemouth, are also monitoring Yirenkyi’s progress, drawn to his ability to build play, recover possession, and press aggressively.
The Ghanaian midfielder’s style has even been compared to former Chelsea star Michael Essien, with Nordsjaelland’s sporting director praising his “fantastic mentality and hard work”.
