Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif, has revealed that Brazil paid Ghana $90,000 for the Black Stars friendly in September.
The funds spent on the match in addition to the Nicaragua game was reported to be 800,000 USD, a figure the GFA categorically dismissed.
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM, Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif said Ghana rather gained from the friendly.
“Despite our loss to Brazil, they paid Ghana $90,000 for the friendly game with the Ghana Black Stars.” he stated.
The Seleçao scored three unanswered goals against the Black Stars at the Stade Oceane in Le Havre, France.
The Black Stars are currently working towards this year’s Mundial set to be staged in Qatar.
Ghana is drawn in group H with Portugal South Korea and Uruguay.
