Black Stars forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has expressed excitement after making a successful return from injury, playing a key role in Coventry City’s back-to-back victories in the English Championship.
The 27-year-old had been sidelined for nearly two months but returned to action in matches against Leicester City and Millwall FC, helping Coventry maintain their push for promotion.
Thomas-Asante continued his fine form by providing an assist in Coventry’s win over Millwall last weekend, as the Championship leaders secured another crucial three points.
Reacting after the game, the forward took to social media to share his delight, posting:
“Good to be back (to back). Plus three points.”
The assist against Millwall was his fourth of the season, adding to an impressive tally of ten league goals so far in the campaign.
Thomas-Asante’s resurgence comes as a major boost for the Black Stars, with Ghana preparing for this summer’s FIFA World Cup in North America.
He is currently among Ghana’s top scorers in Europe this season, sharing the top spot with Manchester City’s newly-signed forward Antoine Semenyo.
Meanwhile, the Coventry striker’s strong performances have reportedly attracted interest from clubs in the English Premier League, as speculation over his future continues to grow
