Borussia Dortmund are on a two-game winning streak in the Bundesliga and four points off first-place Union Berlin. On Saturday, Borussia Dortmund will welcome 17th-place Bochum to Signal Iduna Park.

Bochum are no longer on the bottom of the table. They moved above Schalke with seven points from 12 games in the Bundesliga. Bochum are four points off relegation safety, as they try to overtake Stuttgart in the race for survival.

These teams met last season in the league for the first-time years. Bochum picked up a 1-1 home draw and a 4-3 win at Signal Iduna Park. VFL’s results were fantastic and hope will be high that they can take points off the Yellow and Black once more.

Borussia Dortmund cannot afford to drop points to Bochum this weekend. Dortmund are within touching distance of the top of the table.

They took 10 points from the last 18 points available in the league. The Yellow and Black outscored their last six opponents 12-8.

Edin Terzic’s team are the Bundesliga’s third-best home team. They picked up 13 points from six games on the road. Dortmund are unbeaten in five of their six home matches this term.

Dortmund are third in possession in the Bundesliga this season with 54.3%, meaning they are controlling games.

Bochum picked up seven points from the last six games in the league. They were outscored 14-7 in the Bundesliga across the last six games.

VFL are the league’s worst away team with zero points from six games on the road. Bochum concede 19 times on the road this term while scoring just four goals.

Bochum coach Thomas Letsch has several players on the injury list going into the match on Saturday in Dortmund. Goalkeepers Marko Johansson and Paul Grave could both miss the game. The former has a cold and the latter is nursing a muscle strain.

Defenders Dominique Heintz is out with a muscle injury, and Erhan Masovic is recovering from a groin injury. Midfielder Jacek Goralski is a doubt with a muscle injury. Forward Takuma Asano is unlikely to play following an MCL injury.

Terzic has a long list of injuries heading into matchday No 12. Defenders Mats Hummels, Thomas Meunier, Raphael Guerreiro, and Mateu Morey are all unlikely to play due to their injuries.

Forward Marco Reus is out with an ankle injury, and Mahmoud Dahoud is recovering from a shoulder injury. Dahoud will miss the game. Goalkeeper Gregor Kobel is also likely to miss the match with a muscle problem.

Terzic has plenty of injury problems, yet Dortmund are picking up points in spite of them. Borussia Dortmund should end their two-game losing streak in games versus Bochum. The Yellow and Black should win 3-0 at home.
