Bofoakwa Tano jave officially been relegated to Division Two after finishing 7th in Zone One B of the 2024/25 Access Bank Division One League.
This marks a significant downturn for the Sunyani-based club, which was relegated from the Ghana Premier League just a year ago.
Bofoakwa’s latest campaign was underwhelming, as they collected only 28 points from 28 matches, resulting in a -10 goal difference.
The team struggled with defensive vulnerabilities and a lack of attacking prowess, particularly in the second half of the season when results worsened.
Despite starting the season with hopes of a quick return to the top tier, Bofoakwa failed to find consistency.
Zone One B was won by Techiman Eleven Wonders with 53 points, while Dormaa Unity and Tano Liberty Youth also finished strongly.
Bofoakwa now face the daunting task of rebuilding and regaining momentum in Division Two.
