Bofoakwa Tano Board Chairman apologises to Maxwell Konadu after supporters assault

Board Chairman of Bofoakwa Tano Yaw Boateng has rendered an apology to Nsoatreman FC trainer Maxwell Konadu after his club’s fans attacked him Sunday.

The incident happened after Nsoatreman FC played a 1-1 drawn game against Bofoakwa Tano in a week 11 of the Ghana Premier League at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

Konadu had to be rushed to the Sunyani Hospital for medical attention and was later discharged.

“For me, we are all playing and to physically assault someone should have you face the full rigours of the law to serve as a deterrent,” he told Onua FM.

“(He Maxwell [Konadu] is not a child in Sunyani, he has played football and traveled there several times and has so many friends there, so he can help identify some of the victims.

“I apologise for what happened to Maxwell Konadu” he stated

Bofoakwa Tano was later temporarily banned by the Ghana Football Association from using the Coronation park as home venue.
