Black Stars players must know what is at stake at AFCON – Lee Addy

Former Ghana International Lee Addy has charged Black Stars players ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations, urging them to know what is at stake.

Ghana is aiming at annexing the fifth African Cup of Nations trophy after winning the last one in 1982.

The West African powerhouse are drawn in group B with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.

“I think the players have to know what they are going in for and the management have to do their work well because they are professionals,” He told Radio Gold.

“They all know what to do to get the trophy because this is the assignment they have given to them.

“This is not the first time they are going for the AFCON, they have been there before and they have learnt a lot of lessons and I think putting things together I think they can get there.”

The competition is set to kick off on January 13 to 11 Ferbuary.
