Ghanaian striker Yaw Yeboah has emphasized that the Black Stars have what it takes to win the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The West African powerhouse are aiming to annex the trophy this time round after over four decades of struggles since 1982 triumph.
Optimism surrounding the team has dwindled on the back of the team’s recent performance.
Yeboah, who is included in Ghana’s provisional squad for the 2023 AFCON believes Chris Hughton’s men can win the tournament.
“We have all the qualities to be there, all the qualities to win the AFCON,”
“We are hoping that everything goes well for the players and also for the country to ensure we win.” he told JoySports.
Ghana is drawn in Group B with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique and the tournament is set to kick off on 13th January to 11 February.
Yeboah last played for the Black Stars during the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers coming on as a late substitute in the 3-1 win over Zimbabwe.
