Black satellites face Togo in decisive Group A match in WAFU B U-20 on Wednesday

Ghana’s U20 male team will take on hosts Togo in the final Group A match of the WAFU U20 Championship on Wednesday October 23, 2024.

The Black Satellites, top of Group A with four points from two games, are set for a thrilling showdown against Togo, as both teams vie for a spot in the semi-finals.

Coach Desmond Ofei will rely on sensational duo Jerry Afriyie and Aziz Musibau to cause problems for the Togolese in the tricky final group match.

Hosts Togo, has had a mixed results so far, recording two draws, including a scoreless stalemate against Benin in their latest match.

The Black Satellites must just avoid defeat to secure qualification to the semi-finals of the sub-regional championship.

The WAFU B U20 Championship serves as the qualification for the 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations, with only the finalists going through.

This 2025 U20 AFCON will also serve as the African qualifiers for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, where the four semi-finalists will qualify automatically.
