The Black Queens of Ghana made a strong start to their 2026 Pink Ladies Cup campaign, thrashing Hong Kong 4-0 in their opening match at the Al-Hamriya Sports Club Stadium in the United Arab Emirates.

Princess Marfo broke the deadlock in the 28th minute, finishing off a well-worked team move.

Doris Boaduwa doubled the lead just before halftime, capitalizing on a defensive mistake by Hong Kong.

In the second half, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah extended the lead to 3-0, reacting sharply to a teasing corner delivered by Comfort Yeboah.

Debutant Patience Ajegipina Zakaria sealed the win with a stunning late goal, marking her memorable senior international debut.

Head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren praised the team’s performance, highlighting their dominance and attacking quality.

The victory sets a positive tone for Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
