Ghana’s Black Queens are preparing for a crucial double-header against Egypt as the race for a spot at the 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON) intensifies.
The first leg is set for Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Ismailia–Suez Canal Stadium in Egypt, with kickoff at 4:00 PM local time, before the return fixture on Tuesday, October 28, at the Accra Sports Stadium at 3:30 PM.
Head coach Kim Lars Björkegren will be hoping his side maintains their impressive form and books another ticket to Africa’s top women’s football competition.
The Queens have been rejuvenated in recent months and are eager to build on their bronze medal finish at the 2024 WAFCON, where they defeated South Africa on penalties.
With momentum on their side and home advantage in the second leg, Ghana will be pushing to make back-to-back appearances at the continental showpiece.
