Ghana’s Black Princesses will face Uganda women’s national under-20 football team in the final round of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup African qualifiers.
The decisive tie comes after both sides secured aggregate victories on Sunday to progress from the third round.
The Princesses advanced after edging South Africa women’s national under-20 football team, drawing 2-2 at the Accra Sports Stadium before sealing a 1-0 away win through substitute Priscilla Mensah’s strike.
Uganda also had to dig deep against Zambia women’s national under-20 football team to stay in contention.
After a 1-1 draw at home in the first leg, the East Africans secured a crucial 1-0 victory away to progress on aggregate.
The upcoming clash in May will determine which nation claims one of Africa’s four slots at the global tournament.
Ghana are chasing an eighth consecutive appearance at the U20 Women’s World Cup, having featured at every edition since their debut in 2010.
