Black Princesses return home after FIFA World Cup first round exit

The Black Princesses have returned home after their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup journey came to an end in Colombia.

Unfortunately, they were eliminated at the group stage, finishing third behind Japan and Austria.

The team’s journey began with high hopes, with their arrival in Colombia marked by a warm welcome.

Despite their early exit, the team’s experience and exposure will be invaluable for their future growth and development.

Six players, Jenna Sapong, Helen Alormenu, Alexandra Emefa Tay, Salamatu Abdulai, Tracey Twum, and Asana Alhassan – had already joined their respective clubs from Colombia, while the rest of the team arrived in Accra on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
