Ghana’s U-17 women’s national team, the Black Maidens, will assemble in Sunyani on Monday, October 6, to kick-start preparations for their next round of international fixtures.
Head coach Joe Nana Adarkwa has invited 30 players for the initial phase of camping, a move aimed at building a strong foundation for the team’s competitive return.
The selected squad combines experienced young talents and fresh faces from clubs across the country, underscoring the Ghana Football Association’s renewed focus on youth development in women’s football.
The list includes standout performers like Gloria Adomako Ameaa of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Gloria Owusu from Arm of God Ladies, and Linda Achiaa of Army Ladies. Promising players such as Romina Akolpoka Adombila (Bolga Sharp Arrows) and Grace Nyame (Dreamz Ladies) have also earned call-ups following impressive spells at club level.
Players from development-oriented clubs including Epiphany Warriors, Oaks FC, Rootz Sistaz, and Northern City Ladies are also well represented.
During the camp, the team will focus on tactical drills, physical fitness, and building team chemistry, as the Black Maidens prepare to make a strong impression in upcoming international competitions.
