Akwasi Adu, the CEO of Bibiani Gold Stars, has issued a plea to the club’s fans, urging them to exercise patience and support their coach, Michael Osei, despite some disappointing results this season.
Gold Stars supporters have expressed their concerns regarding the team’s performance, particularly their inability to secure victories at home. Some fans have called for a temporary change in leadership, given the team’s record of 2 wins, 5 draws, and 2 losses in their first nine games of the season. Notably, the team has drawn four of those matches at home, struggling to maintain their lead when they take the advantage.
Adu, in response to these concerns, emphasized the importance of patience in football and discouraged hasty decisions to remove the coach. He stated, “In football, if you are not patient and act on feelings to sack people all the time, you won’t get stability. We are in our third season; you don’t have to sack the coach when you lose or draw a game.”
Michael Osei has been at the helm of Gold Stars since their promotion to the top flight. Under his guidance, the team secured a 10th place finish in their debut season and improved to a 5th place finish in the previous season.
Currently, Gold Stars occupy the 9th position on the league standings, having accumulated 11 points.
