Aduana FC winger Emmanuel Gyamfi has rendered an unqualified apology to “football fans” for the “insane incident” in the flash against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
The winger was spotted in a video stepping hard on the foot of goalkeeper Fredrick Asare during the week 10 of the Betpawa Premier League game at the Nana Agyeman Bedu ll stadium.
Emmanuel Gyamfi in his apology admitted of a wrong doing but wants the man in post punished as well for initiating the scene.
“I am rendering an unqualified apology to all football loving fans for the incident against Frederick Asare but everyone should go and watch the full clip to make judgment.
They should not rely on the few seconds video to make wrong judgement.” Emmanuel Gyamfi wrote on his Twitter handle.
“Justice Blay had even asked me to calm down and said he saw the goalkeeper kicking my ankle but I asked him to go and talk to his goalkeeper before saying anything to me.
“I will be disappointed if the GFA punishes me without any punishment to the goalkeeper”. Gyamfi added.
The 28-year-old made 10 appearances and is yet to find the back of the net in the ongoing Betpawa Premier League campaign.
