Bofoakwa Tano fc have moved to the top of the Ghana Premier League table despite playing out a 1-1 draw with Accra Lions at the Sunyani Coronation park.
Ibrahim Najib scored early goal to put the home team in front under two minutes of play before later in the 70th minute, Daniel Awuni got the equaliser for the visitors.
Bofoakwa threw everything at Lions with captain Dauda Saaka and Clinton Baffour coming close to scoring but could not find the back of the net.
The Sunyani based club have accumulated 11 points leading to log while the Lions have six points finding themselves 15th on the league table after seven matches.
In the next fixture, Bofoakwa Tano will travel to Nana Agyeman Badu stadium to face Aduana FC. Accra Lions welcome Hearts of Lions to the Accra Sports Stadium.
