Bechem United secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Accra Hearts of Oak in a week 20 fixture of the Ghana Premier League at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
This loss marks the Phobians’ second consecutive defeat, following their loss to Dreams FC last week.
The match began with an explosive start, with both teams creating two scoring opportunities each within the first 15 minutes, but neither could capitalize on their chances.
However, seven minutes into the second half, Kofi Agbesimah’s through ball found Kofi Sampson Tompuo who scored to give Bechem United the lead.
Hearts of Oak attempted to level the score but were unable to find the back of the net, ultimately losing the match.
With this win, Bechem United moves up to fourth position with 36 points and will face Karela United in their next match.
Hearts of Oak, on the other hand, drop to fifth position with 36 points and face a tough challenge ahead with a visit to league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.
