Ghanaian attacker Inaki Williams has admitted Athletic Bilbao’s win against Fenerbahçe on Wednesday is a positive result.
The Red and White lads secured a 2-0 win against their Turkish counterparts in the Europa League fixture, with Inaki scoring both goals.
Speaking to the media after the game, Williams said: “The truth is that coming to Turkey and getting this result is very positive for us.
“We are happy that thousands of fans joined, and we hope that you have enjoyed today because it has been tough. It couldn’t work out better. I think that in the end, going 2-0 up always weakens the opposing team.
After the win, Bilbao are at the top of the log with 16 points after six games and remain unbeaten.
In-form Inaki has now scored four goals in six appearances in the competition.
