Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford expects a tough match against Young Apostles this weekend. With three games left, his team needs points to stay in contention for the league title. Coach Hayford emphasized the importance of securing a win to keep their title hopes alive. “These last three matches, we need some points to still be in contention for the league, so the expectation is that we will try and get a win there, and then we see the last two matches if we will be in contention for the league,” he said.
He acknowledged that Young Apostles will be fighting for survival, making the match challenging. “So it’s going to be a tough match. They are also planning relegation, so it’s going to be very difficult,” Coach Hayford added. Despite the difficulty, he remains optimistic about his team’s chances. “But like I said, we will try to get the win there to stay in contention. That will motivate the boys to play the last two matches.”
The match is scheduled for Sunday, May 25, and Coach Hayford’s team will aim to secure all three points to keep their title aspirations alive. A win would boost their morale and set them up for the final two games of the season.
