Trainer of Heart of Lions Bashir Hayford has expressed his team’s readiness for the 2024 Homowo Cup match against Accra Hearts of Oak.
The ceremonial trophy match is scheduled for Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Hayford shared his enthusiasm for the encounter, citing his long-standing friendship with the Gbese Mantse.
“We are playing against Hearts of Oak for the Homowu Cup. I was so delighted because Nana has been my good friend a long time, only that we haven’t met for a long time. So I knew I would meet Nana at that day.
“And Nana knows me when it comes to playing Hearts of Oak. I’m also delighted that once again I’m meeting a club like Hearts of Oak for this important cup. And we have prepared very well for this match.
