Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has expressed his team’s determination to win the 2024 Homowo Cup against Heart of Lions on Sunday.
Despite describing the match as a preseason friendly, Ouattara emphasized the importance of securing silverware ahead of the 2024/25 football season.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Ouattara stated, “We’re approaching this match with a competitive mindset.
“We’ll field our best team and strive to play well. While it’s not the most critical match, we still aim to bring the Cup back. It’s football, and winning is essential.”
The ceremonial match will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on August 11, 2024, with the Phobians seeking to make a positive statement ahead of the new season.
