Balotelli backs Kevin-Prince Boateng's anti-racism stance, calls for more action

Controversial AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has backed Kevin-Prince Boateng’s anti-racism stance insisting more action needs to be taken by football authorities to clamp down on the menace.

Balotelli’s Milan team-mate Kevin-Prince Boateng spoke at the United Nations about confronting racism and taking action on it – a stance that the attacker strongly supports.

Boateng recently walked off a friendly match after he was abused by some fans which sparked a worldwide debate over the issue.

He was invited to join FIFA anti-discrimination taskforce after he was invited to the United Nations to speak on the issue.

Balotelli reveals that the actions of racists at stadiums across the world makes him angry with no action from the authorities.

“Racism makes me annoyed, angry and disappointed,” the ex-Etihad Stadium star continued.

“Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be enough improvement in this area.

“I agree with Boateng’s speech at the UN: to eradicate racism, we all have to contribute together.”

Balotelli was born to Ghanaian parents in Italy while Boateng’s dad is also a Ghanaian.
