Former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has welcomed the GFA’s new broadcast partnership with Adesa Productions Limited, calling it a “huge opportunity” to raise the Ghana Premier League’s competitiveness.

The deal will see each club receive GH₵1 million ahead of the 2025/26 season, with added incentives based on league performance.

“For me, this will propel the clubs to approach the season with all seriousness,” Badu said.

The ex-Udinese star believes the financial support could help clubs raise standards both on and off the pitch.

The new season kicks off the weekend of September 12.
