Azam FC have mutually parted ways with Ghanaian goalkeeper Abdulai Iddrisu.
Injuries and stiff competition limited his playing time and as a result, the shot-stopper decided to depart the club.
According to reports, the 27-year-old is set to return to Ghana, seeking new opportunities.
Iddrisu joined the Tanzanian giants in the 2023 following his impressive outing with Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League, where he was named the league’s best goalkeeper in the 2021/22 season.
He kept an impressive 18 clean sheets in 31 games and played a crucial role in the team’s run to the MTN FA Cup final in 2022.
