We have a full round of fixtures to enjoy in La Liga this week and the final of the 10 games to be played is between Athletic Club and Sevilla.

The match will take place on the 27th of April at the San Mamés Barria and the hosts begin the week in 7th place on 46 points while the visitors are in 12th place on 38 points.

Athletic Club come into the game on the back of a 2-1 win at Almeria in La Liga on the weekend. Having opened the scoring in the 9th minute, Athletic Club doubled their advantage 11 minutes into the second half and the hosts pulled a goal back at the end of the game.

The win at Almeria means Athletic Club are undefeated in their last 6 matches in all competitions. They have won 4 of those 6 games, including each of their last 3 fixtures, all of which have been in La Liga. The 3 straight wins have come over Espanyol and Almeria away plus Real Sociedad at home.

However, home form in the league shows Athletic Club have recorded only 1 win from their 4 most recent matches. They have lost at home against Girona and Barcelona plus were held to a 0-0 at home by Getafe.

Sevilla travel to the San Mamés Barria having recorded a last gasp 2-1 home win over Villarreal in La Liga on Sunday. Having taken the lead in the 34th minute, Sevilla conceded the equaliser shortly after half-time but managed to take all 3 points thanks to a late goal from a corner.

The win over Villarreal means Sevilla are undefeated in their last 6 fixtures in all competitions. There have been wins over Cadiz and Valencia away in La Liga, Villarreal at home in a La Liga, and a tremendous 3-0 home win over Manchester United in the Europa League quarter final.

Away form in the league shows Sevilla have won their 2 most recent games. They are undefeated in 3 of their last 5 La Liga matches on the road and have found the back of the net in 16 of their last 18 away La Liga games.

Looking ahead to the team news and Athletic Club are without injured midfielder Iker Muniain. They also have doubts over the fitness of Iñigo Lekue and Jon Morcillo.

Sevilla make the trip north without the injured duo of Marcão and Joan Jordán. Every other player should be fit and available for the visitors.

This has the makings of being a close game, with Athletic Club aiming for European qualification but Sevilla hitting some good form.

We expect to see under 2.5 goals in this game and just a single goal could be enough to take maximum points. Things are going well for Sevilla right now and it could be them who claim a narrow victory.
