RAAL La Louvière’s manager, Frédéric Taquin, has confirmed that Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru is close to joining the Belgian Pro League side on loan from RSC Anderlecht.

Taquin described Ashimeru as a “huge asset” for the team, stating that he would make their midfield more fluid. Ashimeru, 28, has struggled for playing time at Anderlecht and has been playing with the U23 side.

The move would be a boost for Ashimeru’s career, as he aims to enhance his chances of participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The deal is expected to finalize soon, with La Louvière looking to strengthen their midfield options.

Ashimeru’s experience and technical ability make him an attractive option for the team, currently sitting 14th in the Belgian Pro League.
