Asante Kotoko winger Bernard Somuah will spend another season in Spain after extending his loan deal with La Liga side RC Celta Vigo. Both clubs confirmed the agreement, which includes an option for Celta to make the move permanent at the end of the 2025/26 season.
The 20-year-old joined Celta Vigo’s youth setup in August 2024 and impressed with Celta B in the Spanish third-tier, Primera Federación. Over the 2024/25 campaign, Somuah made 29 appearances, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists. He also created 21 chances, completed 47 successful dribbles, and maintained an 83% pass accuracy.
Known for his blistering pace and creativity on the wing, Somuah was a standout performer under coach Claudio Giráldez, despite Celta B narrowly missing out on promotion playoffs.
Celta Vigo expressed their belief in his long-term potential, with the option to buy signaling serious interest in securing him permanently. The extended loan gives Somuah another opportunity to develop—and possibly break into the senior team.
