Angry Asante Kotoko fans stormed the club’s training grounds at Adako Jachie on Tuesday, preventing head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum and his technical team from conducting their training session.
The club’s training ground became a site of tension as supporters expressed their dissatisfaction following a string of poor performances.
The unrest follows the team’s disappointing run, suffering seven defeats alongside just one win and one draw in their last nine games of the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.
Despite efforts by Interim Management Committee (IMC) member, Nana Appiah Apinkra, to soothe the situation, fans continued to demand the dismissal of the head coach.
The persistent protest led to the cancellation of the day’s training session, plunging the club into further uncertainty.
The Porcupine Warriors find themselves in 11th position on the league standings, close to the relegation zone with only 33 points after 26 games.
