Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan has implied he is not interested in a loan move to English side West Ham United saying ”my heart and soul are attached to Al Ain.”

The Ghana captain, who plays for UAE side Al Ain, has been a subject of intense transfer speculation as the transfer window in Europe re-opens next month.

West Ham, who are battling relegation in the English Premier League, want to turn to former Sunderland hit man to aid their course.

But it does not look like the 28-year-old is ready to leave the defending UAE Arabian Gulf League champions.

“My heart and soul are attached to Al Ain and I always look forward to show the best level that satisfies my ambitions with my team and the fans and administrations aspirations as well,” Gyan said.

“When my mom passed away I was thinking about my team and when I will be with my national team in the World Cup I will work with the same level with my national team to hit the targets of myself and my people.

“I will never think of avoiding to get injured during the matches of Al Ain as it may happen anywhere at any time not only in training sessions and matches with Al Ain.”

Gyan has scored 15 goals in 12 Arabian Gulf League appearances for Al Ain.
