The Porcupine warriors have made approaches to Herbert Addo and current Black Stars assistant Kwesi Appiah but KickOffGhana.com understands both coaches turned down the approach. Addo has chosen to stay with Aduana Stars after negotiations between himself and the club seemed to stall. He was first choice to succeed Ebo Mends who resigned on Monday but declined the offer straightaway forcing the club to make an SOS appeal to Opoku Nti to take over on a temporary basis. Kotoko also did make an approach to Appiah, a former Kotoko captain but he is unwilling to swap the relative comfort of life as Black Stars assistant coach for the hassle and pressure of the Kotoko job. Kotoko communications director claims no such approaches were made and insist instead that the club has received applications from twelve foreign coach to manage the Porcupine warriors.
