Antoine Semenyo opens up on strong religious beliefs

Ghana international Antoine Semenyo credits his strong faith to his upbringing and parents’ influence.

“I think life experiences when I was young. I always used to go to church with my mum and dad and my little brother,” he said to ShowMax.

Semenyo’s devotion to faith is a source of comfort and guidance, and he turns to God in times of need.

“When you have a couple of experiences you want to have someone to turn to, and I turn to him and he’s been great for me since,” he added.

Semenyo’s faith is evident in his pre-match ritual at the Vitality Stadium, where he meets with Pastor John for prayer on the touchline before home fixtures.

“Every day, just being alive, being healthy. I’m just so grateful. So that’s the man I turned to regarding anything in life, whether it’s football or if it’s outside of football,” he said.

This act of faith helps center Semenyo mentally and spiritually before matches. As a key player for Bournemouth and Ghana, Semenyo’s faith plays an important role in his life and career.

His gratitude and devotion to God are evident in his words and actions, both on and off the pitch.
