Ghana captain Andre Ayew has made a surprising return to French Ligue 1 side Le Havre, signing a one-year contract with the club.
Ayew previously played for Le Havre during the 2023-2024 season, where he scored five Ligue 1 goals after joining in November.
The 33-year-old is expected to bring his wealth of experience to the team, which currently sits 14th on the league table after six fixtures in the new season.
He has had previous stints at Olympique Marseille, Swansea City, West Ham United, Nottingham Forest, and Al Sadd.
Ghana coach Otto Addo named 25 players earlier on Friday for Black Stars doubleheader against Sudan without the captain.
He has now missed three consecutive call-ups by the Ghanaian trainer.
