Ampem Darkoa gets two players in CAF Women’s Champions League, Cote d’Ivoire Best Xl

After placing fourth in the CAF Women’s Champions League, Cote d’Ivoire 2023, two Ampem Darkoa Ladies players have been name in the tournament’s Best XI.

The Best XI includes players from winners Mamelodi Sundowns, runners-up, SC Casablanca,bronze medalists AS and was announced by the CAF Technical Study Group who worked during the tournament in Ivory Coast.

Defender, Comfort Yeboah who has natural speed and technique and drove a number of attacks down the left for Ampem Darkoa in an impressive debut got nominated as part of the back four of the tournament.


Deputy captain, Jennifer Owusuaa who was certainly one of the shining stars for Ampem Darkoa also got nominated as part tournament’s best forwards.

Despite being her first CAF Women’s Champions League, Owusuaa showed great courage and tenacity in taking defenders on and capped her performance with a goal in the narrow semi-final lost to SC Casablanca.

The Ghana Football Association thus extends congratulatory message to both players and Ampem Darkoa in whole for putting the Women’s football on the map in the past few days.
