Bankroller of King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Grusah, has accused Ibrahim Tanko of rejecting the coaching job at his club due to financial reasons.
Grusah, in an interview on Vision 1 FM criticized Tanko for not showing gratitude to the club when he needed him the most.
He claimed that Tanko abandoned his boyhood club to accept the technical director job at Accra Lions.
Grusah further added that Tanko did not consider the good things he had done for him in the past and turned his back on King Faisal when they needed him.
“Osei Kuffour has done his best. For Ibrahim Tanko, it was my brother who brought him to the team but at the time we needed a coach, he turned his back to us. He rejected us and accepted to be the technical director of Accra Lions because of money”
“Because I couldn’t afford his demands, Tanko also didn’t think about the good things I have done for him years ago” he said.
Tanko has been impressive in his current role as technical director of Accra Lions, who have had a good season in the Ghana Premier League.
