Al Qadsiah close in on Genk forward Christopher Bonsu Baah signing

Ghana forward Christopher Bonsu Baah is close to completing a move from KRC Genk to Saudi Arabian side Al Qadsiah.

The diminutive winger joined Belgian outfit Genk from Sarpsborg 08 in 2023 for a reported fee of €5.2m after impressing in Ghanaian Academy Shooting Stars.

Baah has been a revelation since joining Genk with his trickery, pace and nimble-footedness, making him a menance for opposing defences.

In the 2024/25 season, Baah contributed to seven goals (three goals, four assists) in 38 games for Genk.

His performances have attracted a number of suitors from Europe and beyond.

However, Saudi side Al Qadsiah have shown the most genuine interest in the Ghanaian, placing a bid  in excess of €15m for the services of Bonsu Baah.

According to reports, KRC Genk have accepted the fee, with the winger, who is still in Belgium, set to fly to Saudi Arabia to complete his contract in the coming days.

Baah’s impressive rise in the past 12 months saw him make his national team debut for Ghana against Nigeria in May.

His deadpan directness saw the forward rip Nigeria’s defence into shreds with his mesmerising skills, although he failed to get on the scoresheet in any of Ghana’s two outings (against Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago) in the Unity Cup.

Baah is expected to sign a deal with the Saudi club until June 2029
