The Nottingham Forest player has scored twice for the Black Stars, including the winning goal in the 2-1 win over Nigeria, and Rubie says there are clubs already showing interest in the league one player.

“Junior came here aware a good showing would enhance his reputation,” Rubie tells KickOffGhana.com.

“Given the way he has played, I don’t think he will be playing for Forest for long.”

_quote Rubie says Agogo will at least move up in the division, or most likely make a move to the European continent.

“Already there are clubs showing interest in Agogo from Europe. He will keep his head up and play well in the remaining games, but this tournament has been a wonderful platform for him and he is making the most of it.”

Stoke City in the English Championship and Caen, in France, have been mentioned as possible destinations but Rubie will give nothing away.

Agogo (28) has played much of his football in the lower divisions of England and came into the Nations Cup hoping to sell himself on a bigger stage. Ghana coach Claude LeRoy reckons he has done well.

“Maybe he didn’t do things right in the past, but on the way he has played for us, I don’t think he will be playing in the lower division for long. He is a very important player for us,” LeRoy said.
