Black Stars’ remaining matches in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers are expected to be played next year following the postponement of the tournament to January 2024.
The Confederation of African Football recently decided to re-schedule the AFCON tournament, which was initially slated for June-July 2023, to a year further due to the height of the rainy season in Ivory Coast.
The entire qualifiers will be postponed to help the African countries who have qualified for the World Cup get enough time to prepare ahead of the Qatar competition.
Ghana were supposed to play Angola in a double-header in September international break.
The Black Stars remain unbeaten in Group E of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as they top the group with four points after two matches.
This was after the four-time continental champions thrash Madagascar 3-0 in Cape Coast Stadium and a 1-1 draw against Central African Republic at Luanda Angola Estadio.
