AFCON Qualifiers: Black Stars to open camp on September 1 ahead of Angola, Niger doubleheader

The Black Stars will open camp in Accra on Sunday, September 1, 2024 in readiness for the double header against Angola and Niger.

Ghana will host Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday, September 5, before traveling to Berkane to take on Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Head Coach Otto Addo has named a 23-man squad for the forthcoming clashes.

Turkey based Kingsley Schindler, Majeed Ashimeru of Anderlecht, Winger Joseph Painstil and Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams have made a return to the squad after missing out on the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central African Republic in June.

Also in the squad are Brighton and Hove Albion full back Tariq Lamptey and Cercle Brugge midfielder Francis Abu.

The team is expected to hold their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 2, 2024 before traveling to Kumasi on Tuesday for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.
