Aduana Coach demands five new signings to compete for title

Aduana FC head coach Cioaba Aristica has cast doubt over his side’s Ghana Premier League title ambitions, insisting reinforcements are non-negotiable.

Aristica pointed to a growing injury list and suspensions that have weakened key areas of his squad.

“You know I have injuries. One central defender, our captain Alex Boakye, is injured, and the quality that replaces him is not the same. The same is happening in our midfield, where Seidu Saana was suspended and is also injured.”

He also highlighted the absence of his leading attacker as a major blow.

“The striker, (Emmanuel) Marfo, who is our top scorer with six goals and is very important to us.”

Despite recovering from a losing position to secure a point, the Romanian coach remained unconvinced about the squad’s depth.

“I gave one clear message to our management before this game. I told them that I needed some positions filled because if we go with this squad, I will not have a chance of winning the league title.”

Aristica stressed that only decisive action in the transfer market could revive their title push.

“I tell the truth, and if the management listens and brings the five players for the positions that I need, it is possible to fight for the top (spot). If they do not listen to me, I will not have the team to go and fight for the league title.”

Aduana have now managed just one win in five matches and sit third on the table with 29 points, trailing Medeama and Asante Kotoko by a single point.
