Aduana FC winger Mezack Afriyie has been released from hospital after sustaining a head injury during their Ghana Premier League encounter with Young Apostles.

The incident happened in the 43rd minute of Sunday’s match when Afriyie accidentally clashed heads with an opposing player while contesting an aerial ball.

Medical staff quickly attended to the winger before he was transported by ambulance to the Wenchi Methodist Hospital for further treatment.

The swift response ensured he received immediate care, easing fears around the seriousness of the injury.

On Monday morning, the club provided an update via social media, confirming that Afriyie was in a stable condition and had been discharged.

Despite the positive news, uncertainty remains over his availability for Aduana’s next league fixture.

The club is yet to confirm whether he will be risked for Sunday’s match against Vision FC on January 4, 2026.

Aduana FC currently sit third on the league table with 28 points following their draw with Young Apostles.
