Acting Hearts MD Odotei-Sowah hits back at Al Wahab; says he is ignorant

The Acting Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak Vincent Odotei-Sowah has hit back at former International Relations Manager of the club Al Wahab for saying the club’s shareholding system was fraudulent.

Odotei-Sowah insists Al Wahab is ignorant about shareholding operations hence his unwarranted attack on the club’s leadership.

“Al Wahab is ignorant and just throwing dust into the eyes of the public. He is part of the people who are destroying Ghana football. If he doesn’t understand how the shareholding operation works, he must come for us to to explain to him,” Odotei-Sowah told Boss Sports in Kumasi.

Al Wahab had earlier told the same radio station that the shareholding operation of the club is fraudulent, calling on shareholders to take the club to court since they fail to declare dividends to the shareholders and not even text messages are sent to them on the operations of the shares.

But Odotei-Sowah says publishing the club’s shareholding operations after every Annual General Meeting of the club in a state newspaper is a legally accepted way of reaching the holders and does not make their operations fraudulent.

He called on Al Wahab to apologise to the entire leadership of the Phobia family for describing their operations as fraudulent.

“What does Al Wahab mean by fraudulent? He must come out and apologise immediately.

“Every year, our dealings are published in the Daily Graphic so what does he mean? Dividends are only shared when the club makes profit but if the club doesn’t make profit, why must we share dividends?

Odotei-Sowah lauded the shareholding operation system of the Phobians insisting it is one of the best in the world.
