Heart of Lions beat Tema Youth 2-0 to record their second win of the season. The Kpando based side came into the game on the back of a 2-0 win against Nania FC on Monday – and lived up to the billing by recording a resounding victory against their Zone three rivals at home.
Samuel Aryeetey smashed home the opener in the 19th minute to set the tone as Sampson Odamtten added the second goal on the stroke of full time to settle the scores for the Kpando lads. The result takes them to the summit of the Zine Three table having scored four and conceded none.
In Dansoman -favourites Liberty Professionals dropped points at home as they drew goalless against Uncle T United at the Cael Reindorff Park. Uncle T United have also picked just a point in their first two games.
Na God were shocked at home by Volta Rangers at the El Wak stadium – making nonsense of the opening day 1-0 win against Tema Youth at the Tema Park. Moses Baah was the hero for the visitors as his solitary strike earned them the narrow win away from home.
