Ghana Premier League side Karela United have named former Black Stars goalkeeper Abukari Damba as their new technical director.
The former Real Tamale United coach was at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday when the Passioners lost 1-0 to Tamale City.
The Nzema-based outfit had a poor start to the 2022/23 season having dropped several points.
Hierarchy of the club is believed to have agreed to appoint the experienced gaffer to beef up the technical department of the club led by Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko and help the club survive relegation.
Karela United are 14th on the league log with 22 points after 18 games.
