Tema Youth SC President Wilfred Kwaku Osei, has claimed that a female lawyer was part of his disqualification from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential elections in 2019.
Wilfred affectionately called “Palmer” in the football circles said in an interview with Onua TV that he was deliberately kicked out of the competition.
He was disqualified from the GFA Presidential election for two reasons: his refusal to pay the 10% mandatory fee to the GFA for the transfer of player Joseph Painstil from Tema Youth to Belgian side KRC Genk and not apologising to the GFA Ethics Committee for his comments on Citi FM attributing Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup to the unavailability of unclassified payments to match officials.
“One lawyer played a major role in getting me out of the GFA race. She was very instrumental. When the FA elections were completed, she called someone who was a contestant to say that her candidate won. As to why she made that statement [I don’t know],” Wilfred Osei Kweku told Onua FM.
“I caught the person on camera with some contestants a day before the elections. I never revealed the person to the media.” he added
“Palmer” is still having the ambition to become the Ghana Football Association President and expected to contest next year.
