There’s further action from the French top flight on Sunday in Ligue 1 and features this upcoming clash between 15th placed Angers and relegation threatened Bordeaux, when the two teams meet at the Stade Raymond-Kopa.
Angers have slowly but steadily found themselves descending down the Ligue 1 table where they now occupy 15th place but they do hold a useful four-point cushion over the third from bottom outfit, St Etienne, prior to this weekend’s action.

Nevertheless, Angers will be eager to return to winning ways here as the hosts have managed to register just one win out of their last 14 matches overall in Ligue 1, which came in the form of a 1-0 home win over Brest.
However, 10 defeats within this period have resulted in Angers to slide down the domestic top flight table.
While results at home haven’t been much better either; Angers have won just one of their last seven home games, losing five of these.
Onto Bordeaux, and the visitors sit second from bottom in Ligue 1 and find themselves six points adrift of safety prior to this upcoming trip to the Stade Raymond-Kopa, having also endured a tough run of results of late.
Although Angers have had their problems, Bordeaux’s worries have been even more pronounced.
Тhe visitors find themselves in the relegation zone and have managed to collect just one win out of their last 13 matches overall.
That solitary success came in the shape of a 3-1 home win over basement dwellers, Metz, but eight defeats within this poor sequence of results have prevented Bordeaux from lifting themselves out of the bottom three.
The bigger picture paints an even bleaker outlook for the visitors as they’ve picked up just two wins out of their last 17 matches in Ligue 1, both of which were on home soil at their Stade Matmut-Atlantique.
This means that results away from home have also been poor and sure enough, Bordeaux have collected just one victory out of their last 13 outings on the road.
So overall, the prospects of either a home or an away win here this Sunday looks unlikely with the possibility of a draw looking a very real prospect at the Stade Raymond-Kopa.
