Forest and Bournemouth to Draw in the Biggest Game of the Season

Arguably the biggest game in the Championship this season takes place this Tuesday night as Bournemouth welcome Nottingham Forest to the Vitality Stadium with second meeting third in the race for the Premier League.

There are just two games remaining in the Championship for the majority of clubs, and now that Forest have played their games in hand over the play-off hopefuls around them, they are within just three points of second-placed Bournemouth.

Steve Cooper has performed one of the greatest managerial recoveries ever witnessed in the second tier of English football, with the club bottom of the Championship when he took over. Now, they are in third and within touching distance of the Premier League and the closest they’ve ever been to returning to the top flight since 1999.

Cooper has won 25 of the 40 games in which he has led the club since taking the helm back in September, and with them moving an astonishing 21 places since then, he sits with a stunning win record of 62.5%.

Moreover, three points here would move them into second in the table but level on points with the Cherries, but with a superior goal difference. As of now, Forest have a +1 better goal difference over Bournemouth.

Scott Parker’s side have been sitting second for months, but with them failing to get the points they needed to stay there comfortably within their games in hand, they could now be sucked back into the play-offs.

On the other hand, if they avoid defeat, they will surely have one foot back in the Premier League at the second time of asking with them facing off against Millwall in the final day, who have nothing to play for.

Parker’s side did return to winning ways after a two-game winless run, as they smashed Blackburn Rovers 3-0 over the weekend. Dominic Solanke scored yet again, as Philip Billing bagged twice in nine minutes in his new striker role.

Not long before this, Bournemouth also came back from 3-0 down in a commendable 3-3 draw away to Swansea City, while also taking a point off league leaders Fulham a few days prior.

Form looks very different for Forest, however, who have conceded just one goal since their loss to Luton Town back in mid-April, as they smashed West Bromwich Albion 4-0, edged past Peterborough United 1-0, beat soon-to-be Premier League side Fulham 1-0, before hammering Swansea 5-1 recently.

Forebet predicts a game of under 2.5 goals here and for the game to be a draw.
