The head coach of Asante Kotoko, Seydou Zerbo has revealed that he has taken advantage of the suspension of the Ghana Premier League to improve his team.
The Ghanaian top-flight league has been suspended for the past two weeks due to a court case filed against the Ghana Football Association (GFA) by Ashanti Gold SC.
The Obuasi-based club is in court protesting against its demotion from the Ghana Premier League to the Division Two League.
While the league is on hold, Coach Seydou Zerbo has disclosed that it has helped to improve the levels of his team.
“We have worked hard and used this break period to raise the levels of all the players.
“Overall we have had significant improvements though some are still recovering from injuries,” the gaffer shared as quoted by Asante Kotoko on Twitter.
Since the suspension of the league, Asante Kotoko have been involved in a number of friendly games and appears to have found their rhythm.
The club is confident of performing better when the league resumes.
